Two hours of mastery. The rest of the day is theirs.

Veridian College uses AI-adaptive mastery learning so students cover core academics in a focused two-hour morning block — then spend the rest of their day on real skills, real projects, and real life. Sydney 2026.

Built for the curious.

The Problem

The system isn't broken.
It was built for a different world.

Schools were designed to produce compliant workers for the industrial age. That world is gone. The age we're in rewards curiosity, self-direction, and the ability to learn anything fast. Your child deserves an education built for it.

Our AI-adaptive mastery system diagnoses exactly where each child is — not their year group, their actual level — and accelerates them from there. Every student must genuinely understand before they advance. No gaps hidden by the class average. No potential quietly dimmed.

"Children shouldn't have to choose between a childhood worth remembering and a future worth having. At Veridian, they get both."
— Annika Pillay, Founder, Veridian College

Founding Families

Parents already believe in this.

Perspectives from early interest registrants — families who found Veridian and knew immediately this was what they'd been looking for.

Finally — an approach that doesn't treat my kid as a problem to be managed. The morning mastery model makes complete sense. The rest of the day being genuinely theirs? That's what childhood should look like.

My son has always learned differently. Every school told us to lower our expectations. Veridian told us to raise them. We joined the waitlist the day we found out about it.

As a primary teacher for 14 years I know exactly how broken the system is from the inside. Veridian is doing what educators have quietly known needed to happen for decades. I'm on the waitlist as a parent — and I want to teach here.

The Model

Two hours of foundations.
The rest of the day is theirs.

Three modes designed to work together. Not blocks of passive instruction — active, applied, and genuinely alive.

Child in AI-personalised learning session
01 · Foundational Accelerator

Master the fundamentals in two focused hours.

Our AI mastery system first diagnoses exactly where your child stands — not their year group, their actual level. Then it builds a personalised learning path and won't advance them until they genuinely understand. No gaps. No child held hostage to the class average. Then the day opens up.

2 hrs/day · mastery-gated · fully adaptive
02 · Interest-Led Discovery

Passion as the engine of learning.

Deep dives into what they actually care about, mentored by subject-matter experts. Not managed by a curriculum — guided by curiosity.

Child-directed · Expert-mentored
Student presenting real-world project
03 · Real-World Applied

Businesses launched. Problems actually solved.

Real stakeholders, real stakes, real outcomes — before they leave school.

No homework. No bell-to-bell instruction. Just meaningful learning, every day.

A Day at Veridian

What your child's day actually looks like.

No bells. No passive rows. Each day has rhythm and intention — and leaves room for the kind of learning that can't be scheduled.

9:00 – 11:00am
Morning Mastery Block

Literacy, numeracy & core knowledge — mastered, not just covered.

Two hours of AI-adaptive mastery learning. Every student works at their own proven level — not their year group's level. They can't advance until they genuinely understand. No one waits. No one is left behind. This is what personalised education actually means.

Life Skills Workshops

The skills school never taught.

Entrepreneurship, financial literacy, public speaking, leadership, resilience — delivered in practical, hands-on workshops. These aren't extracurriculars. They're the curriculum. Because the world your child will work in rewards these skills above almost everything else.

12:30 – 1:15pm
Lunch & Community

Rest, play & real relationships.

Unhurried. Unstructured. Shared meals and outdoor time. Social skills, conflict resolution, and genuine friendship don't happen in a worksheet — they happen here.

1:15 – 2:45pm
Interest-Led Projects

Deep work on what genuinely grips them.

Marine biology, game design, architecture, robotics, storytelling — whatever grips them, they go deep. Mentored by practitioners, not just teachers. This is where passion becomes a track record.

Reflection & Close

What did you learn about yourself today?

Brief journalling, group check-out, and personal reflection. Children who understand their own learning become unstoppable learners. We build that self-awareness from day one.

Founder's Vision

A school built from conviction, not convention.

Annika Pillay founded Veridian after watching her own children — and thousands of others — have their curiosity slowly squeezed out of them by a system built for a different century.

As an educator and a mother, she watched brilliant kids clock-watch, disengage, and dim. She couldn't fix the system. So she built something better.

“I didn't want to tweak what exists. I wanted to build from scratch something that actually respects how children learn, who they are, and who they're becoming.”
